Artichoke |
Part of the plant used are flower, leaves and roots. The flower of the Artichoke is use as common food.
Artichoke contain cynarin and scolymoside known to stimulate bile secretion. Cynarin also have reported to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Artichoke also has some diuretic activities for kidney diseases and proteinuria.
Here are some traditional and other therapeutic uses of Artichoke:
1. Improved sluggish liver, increasing bile secretion
2. Relieves poor digestion
3. Fight Atherosclerosis
4. Lowers elevated tryglycerides, elevated cholesterol
